is the San Francisco Department of the Environment’s Energy Program Manager where she leads a diverse team working on energy efficiency, renewables, energy storage and zero emission vehicle programs and policy development.
Prior to joining the City, Jessie served as Program Director at the nation’s leading solar policy think tank, Vote Solar. With 20 years of experience developing energy policy and programs, she also served as the City of San Jose’s Energy Officer, and began her career at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an Environmental Scientist.
Jessie is an adjunct faculty member in the Environmental Studies Department at San Jose State University and has taught sustainable energy courses at the University of California, Berkeley. She holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Community Planning and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with minors in Appropriate Technology and Environmental Ethics.
